1. Whoever meets him of those you see,
meeting him is with veneration and authority.

2. And we have over them a rank, we are to him,
below the whole group, brothers.

3. So our meeting with him in the presence of his enemy,
or less than that, both are the same.

4. Indeed, friendship cannot be friendship,
until it becomes firmly rooted.

5. Until it is - when you do wrong as if
you followed, with your brother, kindness.

6. Trust, and leniency, and indeed his conscience
for you is established with excuse and proof.

7. So submit safety from one protected from above,
and encompassed by the guardianship of the Merciful.

8. The sword of the caliphate and the one preceding it
and his advice in secret and openly.

9. And praise be to Allah who brought us close,
bestowing favor, the benefactor.

10. He united hearts upon agreement, so they cooperated
with advice and agreed upon faith.

11. A sword that strikes, and a ruler established by
the ways of the Scripture and the proof of the Criterion.

12. And a brother taking care, burdened if he goes forth
with the weight, before my hand and before my tongue.
