1. They said, "Have you seen Abu Du'ad?"
I said, "Yes, I've seen the father of loves."
١. وَقالوا هَل رَأَيتَ أَبا دُؤاد
فَقُلتُ نَعَمْ رَأَيتُ أَبا الحُبابِ
2. They said, "No, you have seen in him
One who resembles the raven more than a raven."
٢. فَقالوا لا عَلَيكَ رَأَيتَ مِنهُ
كَأَشبَه بِالغُرابِ مِنَ الغُرابِ
