١. بَكَرَت تُعيرُ الأَرضَ لَونَ شَبابِها
رَحبَيَّةٌ مَحمودَةُ التَسكابِ
2. It spread its early rain alive, as though
Dots on the nascent clay of a scroll.
٢. نَشَرَت أَوائِلَها حَياً فَكَأَنَّهُ
نُقَطٌ عَلى عَجَلٍ بِطينِ كِتابِ
