1. I will praise the era of rainfall and the palace,
And pray for it and for its inhabitants with rain,

ูˆูŽุฃูŽุฏุนูˆ ู„ูŽู‡ุง ุจูุงู„ุณุงูƒูู†ูŠู†ูŽ ูˆูŽุจูุงู„ู‚ูŽุทุฑู

2. My two friends, you see the blood being shed,
So be patient, for what else is there but patience?

3. Perhaps God will make a deliverance possible for me,
Bringing it from where I know and do not know.

4. I asked you both for God's sake, do not conceal
Anything from me, for with you lies my news.

5. Shall I set fire to the quarters of their chastity
And strike on the day of panic in the mouth of the pass?

6. Shall I ask for a boon the like of which is not granted,
So it opens with good omen and ends with my excuse?

7. And O Lord of a day whose stars do not set,
On it I stretched out to the oppressed the hand of help.

8. So glory be to my Lord! What people do I see who have
Hidden scorpions, their stings ready?

ูจ. ููŽุณูุจุญุงู†ูŽ ุฑูŽุจู‘ูŠ ู…ุง ู„ูู‚ูŽูˆู…ู ุฃูŽุฑู‰ ู„ูŽู‡ูู…
ูƒูŽูˆุงู…ูู†ูŽ ุฃูŽุถุบุงู†ู ุนูŽู‚ุงุฑูุจูู‡ุง ุชูŽุณุฑูŠ

9. When we gather in the valley they dwindle away
Like the dimming of sick stars at dawn.

ูฉ. ุฅูุฐุง ู…ุง ุงูุฌุชูŽู…ูŽุนู†ุง ููŠ ุงู„ู†ูŽุฏููŠู‘ู ุชูŽุถุงุกูŽู„ูˆุง
ูƒูŽู…ุง ุฎูŽูููŠูŽุช ู…ูŽุฑุถู‰ ุงู„ูƒูŽูˆุงูƒูุจู ููŠ ุงู„ููŽุฌุฑู

10. No, they are the sons of sorrow and harm,
And helpers of my fate if I complain of my fate.

ูˆูŽุฃูŽุนูˆุงู†ู ุฏูŽู‡ุฑูŠ ุฅูู† ุชูŽุธูŽู„ู‘ูŽู…ุชู ู…ูู† ุฏูŽู‡ุฑูŠ

11. Their envy is honor which no miserable weakling attains,
Nor any debauchee far from the bowstring.

12. The deed that I will doโ€”you do the like!
For you are like me, and to you belongs my pride.

13. Qualities have raised me to the Prophet's uncle
Soaring above the orbits of the planets and the full moon.

14. They are the sons of the ink and prayer rug and the Perfect One
Who in kingship continued until settled with the possessors of command.

15. And we raised the sword of Marwan far from youโ€”
O House of Ahmad, have you any thanks?

16. Abu'l-Fadl, most deserving of all men of all meritโ€”
Come, let us make you judge between us and the House and Stone.

17. And on the day of Hunayn when he shouted behind you
And you came though death was nearer than a spanโ€”

18. And O community of Helpers, whoever was bound
By your oath of allegiance, while the religion was in the grasp of unbeliefโ€”

ุจูุจูŽูŠุนูŽุชููƒูู… ูˆูŽุงู„ุฏูŠู†ู ููŠ ู‚ูŽุจุถูŽุฉู ุงู„ูƒููุฑู

19. But for him no emigration would have alighted in al-Ta'if,
And but for him the steeds would not have charged at Badrโ€”

20. He kept an eye on the enemies in the abode of unbelief,
Warning the Prophet of God about plots and treachery.

ูขู . ุฃูŽู‚ุงู…ูŽ ุจูุฏุงุฑู ุงู„ูƒููุฑู ุนูŽูŠู†ุงู‹ ุนูŽู„ู‰ ุงู„ุนูุฏู‰
ูŠูู†ูŽุจู‘ูŠ ู†ูŽุจูŠู‘ูŽ ุงู„ู„ูŽู‡ู ุจูุงู„ูƒูŽูŠุฏู ูˆูŽุงู„ุบูŽุฏุฑู

21. Therefore the eyelids of Muhammad the Guide did not sleep
Until he was relieved of captivity.

22. And he turned back to him what was his right, not another's;
So if you are ignorant, ask any man of knowledge.

ูขูข. ูˆูŽุฑูŽุฏู‘ูŽ ุนูŽู„ูŽูŠู‡ู ู…ุง ู„ูŽู‡ู ุฏูˆู†ูŽ ุบูŽูŠุฑูู‡ู
ููŽุฅูู† ูƒูู†ุชูŽ ุฐุง ุฌูŽู‡ู„ู ููŽุณูŽู„ ูƒูู„ู‘ูŽ ุฐูŠ ุฎูุจุฑู

23. And but for her reaching maturity and holding back,
Sirajiyya, the last of life would not have come.

ูขูฃ. ูˆูŽู„ูŽูˆู„ุง ุจูู„ูˆุบู ุงู„ุณูู†ู‘ู ู…ูู†ู‡ุง ูˆูŽูƒูŽูู‘ูู‡ุง
ุณูŽุฑุงุฌููŠูŽู‡ู ู„ูŽู…ู‘ุง ุฃูŽุชู‰ ุขุฎูุฑู ุงู„ุนูู…ุฑู

24. He would have given Abu Hafs the reins to control her
And did not doubt him, for matters are subject to destiny.

25. Did you not see him before when he appointed him
Intercessor for the Prophet's Companions to the rulers?
