1. Oh Abu Hassan you stood firm in times of hardship
And found me lost in the midst of uncertainties
١. أَبا حَسَنٍ ثَبَتَّ في الأَمرِ وَطأَةً
وَأَدرَكتَني في المُعضِلاتِ الهَزاهِزِ
2. You dressed me in an impenetrable coat of mail
So I called out to the turns of fate, is there anyone who dares to compete?
٢. وَأَلبَستَني دِرعاً عَلَيَّ حَصينَةً
فَنادَيتُ صَرفَ الدَهرِ هَل مِن مُبارِزِ
