3. The clouds crept in steadily
Concealing it from sight

4. I seethe with anger
At fate and others

5. My devil came to me
Inciting me against destiny

6. And tempted blasphemy from me
And emboldened me against Hell

7. Reason rose up, extinguishing
The embers of irritation in my heart

8. And left disappointed with me
As I triumphed over it

9. It assigned disciples to me
Who kept me intoxicated till dawn

10. And showed me the beautiful face
Engraved with embers

11. It flourished in passion and appeared
And untied the shackles of images

12. So nothing comes searching
Nor disobeys being confined

13. And they seduced me, so to me came
What had come in my intoxication

14. When dawn broke, they flew
To Iblis with the news
