1. Spring came to you in the early dawn
And the morning chill graced your coat

2. Cloaks held tight to a man
When he travels for need or wakes early

3. The earth disgorged its treasures
In strands or heaps

4. Fortune's scales are now balanced
With no heat or cold in them
