بأبي وأمي أنت من مظلومة

1. By my father and mother you are of the oppressed
The enemy was pleased with her and changed her state

١. بِأَبي وَأُمّي أَنتِ مِن مَظلومَةٍ
طَبِنَ العَدُوُّ لَها فَغَيَّرَ حالَها

2. If only Azzeh contended with the sun at dawn
In beauty in the eyes of Muwaffaq he would judge for her

٢. لَو أَنَّ عَزَّةَ خاصَمَت شَمسَ الضُحى
في الحُسنِ عِندَ مُوَفَّقٍ لَقَضى لَها

3. And women came to me wearing the anklets of Azzeh's pride
The King made their cheeks his slippers

٣. وَسَعى إِلَيَّ بِصَرمِ عَزَّةَ نِسوَةٌ
جَعَلَ المَليكُ خُدودَهُنَّ نِعالَها
