1. Woe to you from the eyes of Khubayb and Thabit,
And Hamza, peers of firm resolve,

2. Inform whoever you meet that you take refuge
In Allah - the oppressed takes refuge from tyranny in the Almighty's prison,

3. And whoever sees this venerable man fleeing from Minā
From the people knows that he is not an oppressor,

4. The successor of Al-Mustafā the Prophet, and his cousin,
The remover of shackles and judge of disputes,

5. He refused and thus does not give guidance through misguidance,
And does not, for Allah, fear the blame of any blamer,

6. And we, by the grace of Allah, recite His Book,
As a diversion in this modest place, the abode of the sacred,

7. Where the doves are safe from alarm and settled in tranquility,
And where the enemy is like a friendly peacemaker,

8. The leaves of worldly life do not last for its people,
Nor do intense afflictions always remain,

9. So do not despair from any severity, for after it
Come burdensome events that twist mighty affairs,
