1. For how long will you disguise with folly and evil,
While your secret in the worlds has been divulged?

2. Declare whom you love and say it is what you desire,
O critics! For loving him has filled my heart.

3. He is manifest, even if hidden by the sun or
The moon or a branch of the lotus - however he wished.

4. A moon whose rising fills hearts with certainty
And whose setting leaves fancies in darkness.

5. All minds are enamored with him, though they cannot grasp
His beauty when he discloses it, so wondrous.

6. The love of this one is ardent and blazing,
The love of that graceful one when he walks.

7. When they find guidance, they will know whom they love,
And the heart once lonely will find intimacy.

8. The veils of illusion fall away from him
And dawn breaks, ending the night of revelry.

9. We are the group in the path of Ahmad,
In words and deeds, no temptation can make us list.

10. We shoot our arrows at the false interpreters
In defending the evident truth, honed and ready.

11. We continue to watch over our light and dissolve in
Its brilliance, when we knew it joyfully shone.

12. We assault the people of hypocrisy about our Lord,
If they attempt to diminish his noble sanctuary.

13. God is great! This being of splendor
And beauty has removed her veils.

14. Even the enemies now deny what they denied,
And the slanderers slandered among strangers.

15. She is the most pure, the most holy, who
Revived hearts by her manifestation and gave them life.

16. By her command she discloses as she discloses,
While mysteries remain her garb and cushion.

17. O you, truly I am enamored with loving you,
My restless heart aflame within my ribs!

18. How could I resist when I saw a manifest face
Behind veils, beautifully adorned?

19. And if you desire the disclosure of his beauty,
I am that disclosure - grant me your audience!

20. A face - when I looked upon it, our hearts
Were emptied, dissipated in ecstasy by his glory.

21. And exceeding grace and abundant wisdom
His mercy prevented from afflicting us.

22. Clemency outweighed vengeance for him, thus he may
Pardon the sinner, however excessive his sins.

23. The birds of hope forever circle around him,
Nestled and settled in the bosom of mystery.

24. A sun whose rising blinded the bats of existence
And made the keenest eyes utterly bleary.

25. Creation melted before it like snow
Scattered in dissolution, dripping and streaming.

26. It is our religion - and if the religion be other than it
It would persist as tattered dogma.

27. She extended over us the shade of her shelter,
Generously and bountifully gifting us knowledge.
