1. Charity has a light
That fills the heart with joy

2. And through it the dead come alive
After they've visited their graves

3. Paradise in this life is for those who
Have witnessed the world's deception

4. It is a blessing and safety
Blowing life into my being

5. It is what's between me and myself
Never ceasing to build barriers

6. Through it I looked up
To see suns and full moons

7. And the bride of spirits appeared
Taking all of me as a dowry

8. My trade with her
If she wishes will never fail

9. The pillars of unity rained down
In the One we find flowers

10. We breathed soft breezes
And contemplated the rivers

11. We reaped rose gardens
And sipped from the springs

12. Oh you who are absent from us
Do not, for God, speak falsely

13. Leave blame and let us
Drink love's wine

14. And help us in love
If you find any shortcomings in us

15. Teach us from the face of this
Tablet to erase lines

16. And reveal yourself to me
And the universes, openly

17. If only this matter would
Move dangerously from the heart

18. And those who turn away from us
If only they would end aversion

19. Pride in glory
Cast a veil over all

20. And He remains as He was
Almighty, Forgiving

21. That which we are upon
We have never ceased being present

22. And He has indeed sent
Signs over us and months

23. And times and hours
That have succeeded each other

24. High above all things
And abundant grace

25. Charity is only from
His charitable rewards

26. And through it the spheres revolved
Inhabited, rotating

27. And through it the angels stood
Serving the Grateful Lord

28. So strive in it and struggle
And upon it be patient
