1. Difference is intoxication, as the mind begs
In it other than its Lord due to much loss

2. Knowing that all benefit in its entirety
Is for its True Lord before and after

3. And the mind divides existence in difference into
Two parts: the existence of the Lord and the servant

4. Likewise unity is intoxication where no one
Exists other than the One True God who avails

5. And everything in this existence is by Him
Like a mirage which the eye sees from afar

6. And the person of difference thinks his state sober
Yet the state of unity is intoxicating the guide

7. And his heart has never ceased being heedless
Of witnessing the witnessing of Truth with purpose

8. And the person of unity also thinks his state
Awake and the state of difference intoxicating with fervor

9. And his heart has never ceased from the creation of his Creator
In heedlessness equating the misguided with the right-minded

10. And the crux of the matter is that the entire matter
Is between unity and difference, uniter of opposites

11. With people of difference, He has difference like their states
And with those immersed in unity, a unity without refute

12. And it is called the unity of unity, inherited guidance
From the Prophet, the Pole, and the Individual
