1. Everything is made by its maker
It knows not whether its maker has honoured or degraded it

2. Name me one thing made that knows
Who has made it

3. Though the created maker is with
Every thing made, their gathering occurred through origination

4. So how can the recent made
Covet to know its Eternal Maker?

5. He hopes to know Him yet He has
Prevented him, driving him back

6. Surely this universe is made by One
Who knows God though he be with it

7. That God who made every
Servant with his deeds and originated him

8. And Who in our knowledge and with our knowledge
Made us though restricted in capacity

9. And the whole universe is of His making
And every youth began and devised it

10. And by Whom you recognise that
He is a Maker, a soul being stamped by Him

11. And Whom you recognise as a creation for Him
Manifest among us as He has treasured within us

12. We are all ever new creations
Like His Word "Be" which we hear

13. Every servant, if I see him thus I see him
And if I hear him thus I hear him

14. Do not say He lowered His knowledge to us
His knowledge in us was always so placed

15. He is The Truth, all else is falsehood
The Truth equals not falsehood, leave innovations

16. We are created by Him through the Spirit
At His Command, and the command is like the flash of lightning

17. Like the twinkling of an eye, through it
All are manifest by His Command, nothing cutting it

18. So know the God by Whom
You are you, in every age as He has legislated

19. And be sure that He is The Unseen Who
Has no assembled quiddity

20. Neither "how", nor "where", nor "resemblance"
And the intellect is stunned into bewilderment by Him

21. To Him belongs the Essence which none other
Is prevented from resembling

22. And to Him belong the Attributes and the Names
From eternity, never cut off

23. And they are none other than the Essence—no composition
In His Exalted Essence, like the light of a candle

24. He is Light, all else is darkness
Which He brings out from Himself

25. He manifests Himself wherever He wishes through it
Sheerly at His Ordainment which He has followed

26. A weak slave who has none
Other than his Master, complaining of his pain

27. Sees the Light through Him, not through another
And prays the five prayers and the Friday prayer
