1. If you throw a likeness, be frugal
Then take a saying from one who found the truth

2. This is an example, I didn't mean its reality
You have, so understand my purpose and leave sorrow

3. If you twist to tell a twisting, I have
Done an act, and that act began with you

4. It's an attribute, nay, an image appeared
You are its pillar, it remains with you a while

5. It has no existence but through its doer
The real doer, none can substitute for Him

6. Creation stood by Him confused, where they are an attribute
They are a veil over Him, for ever and ever

7. All of them are His act, and illusion makes them
Strangers to Him, and He is the Doer as was revealed

8. Therefore, about all the Doer does
He is not asked, but they are asked tomorrow

9. And God is not a body, no, nor an attribute
So understand my speech, extend to it your hand

10. The worlds, altogether, are attributes
As if they were an echo in the speech of Truth

11. All will perish, and the Truth will appear through them
An obscure appearance you receive united

12. All existed through Him and all are from Him
His vanishing attributes seeking aid

13. They say bodies standing are His attributes
Deceiving us a corrupted doctrine

14. In defining body, they mentioned
A collection of attributes, an intended thing

15. They said it's the body, meaning what is composed
Of individual substances, words for people of guidance

16. Disagreement is in the individual substance, and a people
Denied it while a people affirmed it in vain

17. And a people said the body is that which has
Length, width and depth, words of people of rejection

18. All that is not the Truth, they reached
Him by reason, not by scripture, relying

19. Sayings with a people, philosophers
Who followed them in opinion and belief

20. Our words and its likenesses are
The religion of the Prophet, son of Abdallah, for good fortune

21. Whoever contemplates all the sayings
Sees what we have seen, so seek help
