1. Open your eyes to the signs and the chapters,
And beware your pride in phantoms and images.

2. Know that the whole universe is an illusion,
And turn to the Essence, do not turn to the trace.

3. For the heart that lies between the fingers,
Truly undergoes cycles as mentioned in accounts.

4. Sometimes bewildered in the Unseen,
Other times witnessing the Manifest.

5. From it my soul descended, the All-Merciful's breath,
Nothing remains of my being, no trace left.

6. His blowing increased my ecstasy and joy,
Until I fell in love with the sound of flute and string.

7. I heard a call, I became its echo, reverberating
The voice of the Herald bringing faith to mankind.

8. Existence itself, its Messenger came
A bearer of good news and a warner, truthful in word.
