1. With my tongue I thanked my God as an act of worship
And with my heart and limbs sincerely intended

2. So bear me witness, my gratitude for His blessing revealed
And my bearing witness, another blessing followed to bear witness

3. So His eternal blessings left me incapable of thanking Him
Thus my gratitude to Him was forever deficient

4. And I saw my incapacity as His greatest blessing
And this saying, I see as a renewal of His bounty

5. So I said, my God, I cannot fully thank You
So You be, for me, ever thanking Yourself eternally
