1. O you who said "I am
A Muslim" yet unbelief in you we disavow

2. This matter is not by mere words
Or wishes; man attains what he hopes

3. If you have truly believed in God
As He transcends what is here

4. Where no likeness to Him comes to mind
Nor negation, openly or in secret

5. And you have verified the chosen Prophet
In what he came with to guide us

6. And what in his heart you were
Certain of, in every state a believer

7. And what of his law he made plain
Thus were you certain of it

8. Or if anything seemed otherwise to you
Regarding anyone, far or near

9. Then you, by my life, are a Muslim
Following obligation and tradition's path

10. So seek God's help, if you are not
In this state, receiving our favors

11. And if God endows you with it
Then thank God for it and pray for us
