With its surrounding waters

To which foreheads submitted

6. And I am the one who stripped
Myself of the clothes of doubt

7. And I am the humble yet mighty
And counted among the most lowly

8. And I am the ancient yet recent
The near yet unparalleled

9. Alive, killer, and the
Absolute free, sighted, boastful

10. And so I am the existent and
Nonexistent, O perceptive one

11. And I am the despised yet
Lofty and eminent

12. And I am the dust yet I am
A light on the horizon of the unseen, shining

13. I am capable, I am incapable
And I am strong, even weak

14. I am ignorant, I have no knowledge
Yet none can rival my knowledge

15. I do not know who I am
I know myself, I am not heedless

16. I am not an animal, nor
A human, nor a playful spirit

17. I am not a devil, nor an
Angel protected from prohibitions

18. I am not awake, nor am I
Oblivious to myself and neglectful

19. I am not distracted by pleasures, rather
I distract pleasures

20. And my reality perplexed people
And they do not know what it is

21. Ask the melody of tambour
About my matter, which is glorious in it

22. And ask the lanterns, and ask the
Pillows of rest, and the singing maidens

23. And ask the wine bearer, and the
Companion, and a gathering of delightful company

24. And listen on the mount of annihilation
I am I, beyond prohibitions
