1. The Lord is with us in every state
Without Him, we would not have found guidance

2. What is the soul and what is the body that sings?
What are the self, the forms, the likenesses?

3. What is nearness and the people of the highest station?
What is distance and those who in it are lost?

4. All is a sign, and You are the meaning
O He who is, there is no god but Allah

5. My heart came with oneness, O Lord
Hoping from You acceptance of deeds

6. And speaking glorification and praise
It was diligent at dawn and dusk

7. So forgive and have mercy on our fathers and children
We whose hearts and mouths called

8. All is a sign, and You are the meaning
O He who is, there is no god but Allah

9. The light of the Names shone in the cosmos
So behold it through Him, not through the self

10. And leave off standing with the transient
How much you become in play, how much in sleep

11. Life passed and you did not possess the least
What is other than Him and what is its meaning?

12. All is a sign, and You are the meaning
O He who is, there is no god but Allah

13. To Allah belong kindness throughout the ages
Through them thoughts were confused

14. And to Him belong grace, generosity and justice
This is known to those granted insight

15. So be content with Allah, He has enriched
Beyond that and this, so leave what you desire

O He who is, there is no god but Allah

17. Merciful on the Throne, He manifested in us
Through making, creation and annihilation

18. And heedlessness of Him destroyed so much faith
Until sinfulness led many astray

19. And the winner is whoever sees himself perish
Not seeking his world or the next

21. The Truth is the Hidden and the Manifest
So turn away from all but Him, you will find Him

22. In the universe His brilliance appeared
Hidden only from those who hide Him

23. And night with day praise Him
And earth with sky and waters

24. All is a sign, and You are the meaning
O He who is, there is no god but Allah

25. Pray, O our Lord, upon the Chosen One
Of glory, honor and supremacy

26. And his family and the righteous companions
The people of piety like stars shining

27. And those who followed them when he sufficed
Never did Abd al-Ghani say to his Master
