1. The True Existence appeared in our mirror
Though we in the predetermined non-existence did not cease to be

2. So our existence is an image of His existence
Not that He, Exalted and Sublime, is that existence

3. And so we appeared in His mirror
Though we are non-existence and from Him, Exalted and Sublime

4. And He is characterized with the attributes of our essences
And our attributes without a beginning in eternity

5. Since we altogether are the non-existence that
Has not smelled the fragrance of existence when it descends

6. So His appearance in us is by His word "Look
At what is in the heavens and the earth"

7. And likewise while He is God, He said that
"He is in the heavens and the earth, who can deny Him in error"

8. And His appearance in us is by His speech
In everything ephemeral except the appointed term

9. Even though we, all the worlds
Exist, so understand and detail what is succinct

10. And beware you think of change and alteration
In our Lord from what He is, so He has not moved

11. And likewise, beware that you think that we
Have change and replacement from what we are

12. So when He sees us, He sees Himself
Not that we are Him or with us, far be it from Him

13. And when we see Him, we see our own selves
Not other, so remove from this what is ambiguous

14. This is gnosis and it is the greatest
That comes to people and realize it hope

15. It is the inheritance of the Prophet Muhammad and it is what
Came with our masters, the earlier people
