1. In the intermingling of existence with nonexistence,
And the blending of the temporal with the eternal,

2. Is a wisdom that only the Exalted One comprehends,
Like the intermingling of light with darkness.

3. And perceiving existence where it began,
None but He remains, so understand.

4. Thus temporality passes away if
Eternity becomes manifest to resolute souls.

5. And thus light obliterates
Whatever darkness blinded the discerning.

6. Yet existence's mystery flowed
Through the mystery of His names with nonexistence.

7. So He is the meaning of its intermingling, and thus
Eternity with temporality is concealed.

8. And light with darkness according to
The judgment of His names, none established.

9. For there is no intermingling between them-
The Creator of creation, Maker of the breeze.

10. The First and the Last is His argument,
The Apparent and the Hidden for the blind.

11. O you who gloriously journey,
When you come to a halt, ask about the sanctuary.

12. Take the right course with us to a homeland
Where we once stood, knowing.

13. And look upon the meadows of Kazima
Between those hills and tents.

14. For I have nobles there whom I see
With radiant light in peace.

15. Whenever I say, "Would that I had news of them,"
It is said, "You are in nonexistence."

16. And if I say, "If only I were refreshed by them,"
It is said, "Woe to me from them, O oblivious one."

17. But I appeared to them out of darkness
Intermingled with their light.

18. At times it passes away, and what remains
Is like an illusion in a dream.
