1. The servant plays and is heedless,
While the Lord is above and below.

2. He encompasses all things,
Woe to him who is oblivious of Him.

3. So look to Him and you will find Him
Taking charge of everything.

4. And in the remaining directions
Are mischievous devils or wicked souls,

5. Whose nature helps them
To mislead the oblivious fool.

6. So whenever he tries to ascend,
They distract him until he descends.

7. None gains nearness to Him
Except one who turns devotedly to his Lord,

8. Until he becomes for Him a hearing
And sight, not oblivious.

9. And the door that was closed
Opens for him after.

10. For him are troops from the Truth
That give him support and victory.
