3. Drunk with desire for the cupbearer’s pour
When he stood, his face obscured

4. Behind his veil, would that I might see
His visage, if it could comfort me

5. These are the acts of the Unseen’s realm
I repent not, though in love I whelm

6. Look on him with your heart’s own eyes
To melt this frozen heart that lies

7. Behold him shone at dusk’s first gleam
As longing’s pleasure lights my dream

8. This beauty is light within the dark
For him I pine, parted from his mark

9. And blessing on the Prophet whose way
Shone to guide us into wisdom’s day

10. His servant, enriched by his perfect graces
Sings his praise, exalting him in places

11. And to his family and companions all
With utmost respect, masters of recall
