1. We are the rising light of the setting sun
And we are like the tools for the Maker

2. And we are the causes of worldly affairs
We act with the Giver and the Preventer

3. Times only improve through us
And life is not pleasant in reality except through us

4. And there is no time devoid of us
Of a true seer and hearer

5. By Allah, if He severs all of creation
We have no protector but Allah against the Severer

6. Our nation is the nation of Taha (Prophet Muhammad), who
Came with the state of the Decisive Separator

7. And our religion is nothing in the world but it
And anything other than it is the deceit of the Deceiver

8. Beware, yes beware, of a faction
That did not fear a deterrent in violating our rights

9. They tried to extinguish with ignorance
The lights of knowledge that spring from us

10. And they denied the secrets and belittled
The religion of the Chosen Prophet, the Intercessor

11. And they stood reason up to limit
Religion to what brings benefit and seems good

12. And they denied what their deficient minds
Could not understand of our vast Law

13. And they restricted religion to the outward
Due to their ignorance of the vast inward

14. And they almost made a great nation,
The followed and its followers,

15. Like the nation of unbelief, understood
Through reason in the Lowerer and Raiser

16. Fearing for their high position
Among the common people in the mosques

17. Oh what a disappointment their efforts are!
They looked with a squinting eye

18. And so they saw the world and so
Everything other than it became negligible to them

19. And they have no defender against the anger
Of the Compeller for the vileness of their intentions

20. Did it not reach them that the religion of guidance
Is like the sea or like pouring rain

21. Outward aspects grasped by reason with
Inward aspects like flashing lightning

22. All of it truth by a true
Truth that came with guidance proclaiming

23. Woe to an ignorant empty impudent man - is
A hardened heart like a slayer's heart?

24. And the body does not resemble the spirit
No more than still water resembles flowing

25. And the ignorant knows the expert
Yet no ignorant ever knew the expert
