2. And a third who with evil between them
Strives, with a mind devoid of good

ูŠุณุนู‰ ุจุนู‚ู„ ู…ู† ุงู„ุฎูŠุฑุงุช ู…ุนุฏูˆู…ู

3. And every group fears its virtuous ones
Its wicked are shown as foul and ominous

4. So how many people I've seen without morals
And an oppressor, openly in the guise of one oppressed

ูˆุธุงู„ู…ุงู‹ ุธุงู‡ุฑุงู‹ ููŠ ุฒูŠู‘ู ู…ุธู„ูˆู…

5. And how many perplexing affairs of my Lord I've known
Beyond the minds, the minds of Arabs and non-Arabs

ูฅ. ูˆูƒู… ุนุฑูุช ุจุฑุจูŠ ู…ุดูƒู„ุงู‹ ู‚ุตุฑุช
ุนู†ู‡ ุงู„ุนู‚ูˆู„ ุนู‚ูˆู„ ุงู„ุนุฑู’ุจ ูˆุงู„ุฑูˆู…

6. And how many smooth-tongued people I have endured
In a matter clear to the eye yet imagined

ูฆ. ูˆูƒู… ุจู„ูŠุช ุจุฃู‚ูˆุงู… ุณูˆุงุณูŠุฉ
ููŠ ุญูƒู… ุฃู…ุฑ ุจุนูŠู† ุงู„ุญุณ ู…ูˆู‡ูˆู…

7. Not alike are those who eat fruits fresh picked
And those who eat the bitter tree of zaqqum

ูง. ูˆู„ูŠุณ ู…ู† ูŠุฃูƒู„ ุงู„ุฃูƒูˆุงู† ุนุฐู’ุจูŽ ุฌู†ู‰ู‹
ูƒู…ุซู„ ุขูƒู„ู‡ุง ุฃุดุฌุงุฑูŽ ุฒู‚ูˆู…

8. Every person's mind is the balance of his state
Not alike are the howls of wolves and owls

ูจ. ูƒู„ ุงู…ุฑุฆ ุนู‚ู„ู‡ ู…ูŠุฒุงู† ุญุงู„ุชู‡
ูู„ูŠุณ ุตูˆุช ู‡ุฒุงุฑ ุงู„ุฏูˆุญ ูƒุงู„ุจูˆู…

9. Our words of truth, their benefits are not hidden
Except from one who denies the truth, deprived

ูฉ. ูƒู„ุงู…ู†ุง ุงู„ุญู‚ ู„ุง ุชุฎูู‰ ููˆุงุฆุฏู‡
ุฅู„ุง ุนู„ู‰ ู…ู†ูƒุฑู ู„ู„ุญู‚ู‘ู ู…ุญุฑูˆู…

10. With them we address the people of agreement upon
A mighty secret of secrets concealed

ุณุฑ ุนุธูŠู… ู…ู† ุงู„ุฃุณุฑุงุฑ ู…ูƒุชูˆู…

11. They alone are meant by it, none other
In every utterance and meaning

ูกูก. ู‡ู… ุงู„ู…ุฑุงุฏ ุจู‡ ู„ุง ุบูŠุฑู‡ู… ุฃุจุฏุงู‹
ุจุงู„ู‚ูˆู„ ููŠ ูƒู„ ู…ู†ุทูˆู‚ ูˆู…ูู‡ูˆู…

12. Refuge of knowledge and solace of strangers are they
In form, of the tribe of chaff and garlic

ููŠ ุงู„ุดูƒู„ู ู…ู† ุนุตุจุฉู ุงู„ู‚ุซู‘ูŽุงุกู ูˆุงู„ุซูˆู…

13. Abu Huraira, seeing disagreement
In truth between praised and blamed

ูกูฃ. ุฃุจูˆ ู‡ุฑูŠุฑุฉ ุญูŠุซ ุงู„ุฅุฎุชู„ุงู ุฑุฃู‰
ููŠ ุงู„ุญู‚ ู…ุง ุจูŠู† ู…ู…ุฏูˆุญ ูˆู…ุฐู…ูˆู…

14. Had he said what knowledge of his Creator
He got from the Prophet, it would have silenced the glutton

ุนู† ุงู„ู†ุจูŠ ุฏู‡ุงู‡ ู‚ุทุนู ุจู„ุนูˆู…

15. The like of it is the poetry of Zain al-Abideen which says
"O Lord, essence of knowledge, articulated verseโ€

ูกูฅ. ูˆู…ุซู„ูู‡ ุดุนุฑู ุฒูŠู† ุงู„ุนุงุจุฏูŠู† ุฃุชู‰
ูŠุง ุฑุจู‘ูŽ ุฌูˆู‡ุฑู ุนู„ู…ู ู‚ูˆู„ูŽ ู…ู†ุธูˆู…

16. So let those of narrow minds leave off wading into my words
They are people of reason from strangers, banned

17. While we have spoken of the guarded secret and
The speech of existence and its known matter

18. Not of imagination or thought, and witness of it
My tongue was, in the vicinity of the Eternal
