1. In the universe, there are parables of truth
Revealed to the servant who was sincere

2. He said those are the parables we present
To be comprehended by one perfected in ascent

3. While God disregarded those who witness them
The people of fortune in life, and people of misery

4. So a believer is saved without knowledge
His faith is the light that flashed and sparked

5. And an ignorant who doesn't know what is said to him
His denial is the provision he was provided

6. Be a submitting believer in the truth and you will know it
Or if you don't know it, follow the people of piety

7. And if you want to know God who revealed
His signs, then follow the good companions

8. They are the people of knowledge, our masters
So believe in them, and you will join the preceders

9. And look to the time of dawn that has no
Sign but the light that fills the horizon

10. Its light is unique and the time is present when
God shows that light and dawn

11. The time is free without binding itself
So ponder it and witness the daybreak

12. And witness its sign that testifies it wherever it appears
While God is unseen yet witnessed by His creation

13. And the time is present in every land so take
Lessons of the real existence that set out

14. And exalt it and say about it “our Creator”
It has no absence, today is the day we meet

15. And God from it all the universe is diffused
Like the light that appears from the light that split

16. Blessed is God, nothing resembles Him
So senses and mind agree in transcending Him

17. And God has set parables in the universes
Through action, not us, so leave off this question

18. It is us who comprehend them, not us who set them
So we entrust the reed what we don't know and paper

19. And if you want the clearest of parables, take them all
Then look at the page of the mirror, excelling

20. Of glass or steel that contains nothing
Yet in it the thing appears coherent

21. You see no solid mirror that hides you
And the whole, so don't tire your eyesight

22. As the universes appear to you, they show in
The mirror of existence's eye belonging to permanence

23. And nothing exists but Him, everlasting
And all is vanishing, in Him subsiding

24. And He is near but you cannot perceive Him
For He is veiled from you while you are aware

25. The ocean of true existence, you still see through it
The manifestation, here the universes and separation

26. And all is vanishing, and this One, One
None other than Him, for others are abolished

27. So follow my trace, and look to my observation
And trust what I have said, O winner of confidence

28. And smell my scent of pure musk
For I am to you a fragrance in the world perfumed
