1. He is what He is, and I am what I am not.
This One has manifested openly.

2. So wonder at the One and the two that are not.
He is but One, and He is I.

3. Outwardly manifest through me, inwardly hidden from me,
For my outwardness and my inwardness we were created.

4. The Spirit was breathed into it by His command,
And without His command it would have been annihilated.

5. Exalted is the Lord of creation - none but Him
Can know Him, while creation is in the sea of suffering.

6. We are not we, and in poverty towards
The hand of Him whom we know has extended with bounty.

7. If we say we spoke, we did not speak, and if we spoke,
He spoke when He spoke, and what He said was hinting.

8. And just as they are all Him, so too
What is not Him - be certain of that.

9. This is the state of the people of God - not
The people other than God - it has become their habit.

10. Their taste reveals it, and through it
From the sciences of God they have attained their wish.
