1. God tended a garden in Fijja's valley
With flowing cool sweet water

2. The spring constantly poured out its abundance
Quenching our thirst with chilled drinks

3. Gentle groves with leaning boughs
Swaying gracefully in the murmuring breeze

4. Their shadows paint patterns on the ground
Like the work of a meticulous scribe

5. We came to it from formidable mountains
Where a walker might stumble and slip

6. How much more so one who came riding
In definite peril with heart pounding

7. Though we journeyed over it on
Mules whose steps made your heart flutter

8. Yet the Lord of Creation protected us there
So we feared no evil amidst its beauty

9. We traveled by the ruling of witnesses at the command
Of one who honored us with might and grace
