1. I am the bright lightning and you are too
But you have not witnessed a flash

2. To how much are you enveloped, for I
See the highest and you see the lowest

3. And this is the difference between you, say, and me
For my state has never been the opposite of yours

4. So you deny me out of ignorance about me
Measuring me against yourself, so I remain detestable to you

5. Go easy, O veiled one, from what
Overflows to you from your Master abundantly

6. The springs of knowledge within you have dried up
And you did not care, though the water of righteousness was plentiful

7. Contemplate inwardly, for in you is a transformation
With every breath you will attain what I pour forth

8. And know by the command, not by the creation
For you the command is long, for you it is ample

9. And realize outwardly for you in inertness
You will find it fluid through you, in you too

10. You heal your perishable body to remain
And leave your enduring heart sick

11. For you the universes in foreign lands are black
And if you realized them they would be white

12. So if you turned away from your world sincerely
And your heart with sincerity was content

13. You would find the command is God's command, closer
To you, and you would be fat, not emaciated
