3. The people of knowledge recognize it, none
Deny it except the ignorant, hapless folk

4. They present to the Mahdi what improves him
In a night of the most sublime spiritual states

5. Secrets of the science of letters from a taste they possess
Followed by interpretation according to the ruling of decree

6. Aid in the appearance of the matter among
The naturalists on earth and in the sky

7. When the thing is willed, He says "Be" to it
So it comes into being, meaning through supplication

8. A magnificent matter it is, wherein the apparent
Is in ten verses of the Chapter of the Tidings

9. God brought it to him as a sign
Among his people and singled him out with care

10. I say this and my intention is that
In every age, be it hidden or manifest
