1. The matter has been decreed, the pen has dried
And the fever's fire and knowledge appeared

2. We descended into Wadi Sulam
Taken by their misguidance and the ladder

3. O Allah, protect this land dome after dome
Rebuild what was destroyed and intended harm

4. Then he irrigated with the woes of Laylatul
He did not assure me of her love, I was not embraced

5. O you who reside in Kazima
I have a tongue about you, alive and with speech

6. Whisper to Layla my passion
Which remains burning inside me

7. And bewitch the singing women in the morning
Sometimes that melody excites you

8. And listen to the voice of the doves of Luwa
When darkness comes over them

9. This life has lessons
The words for people are too narrow to express

10. I saw the universe's clothes rend
A wound for distance and pain

11. The sound of the drum of the body is loud and in it
Is the breath of the reed flute not concealed

12. Our intoxication danced the daughters of chastity
When youth and always sang to them

13. Where the cups of love encircle
And non-existence comes after every existence

14. The breeze of the matter smelled sweet in us
And the flowers of the Lord smile

15. The fever is unleashed and the people of fever
Still have it and those people are them

16. What was is still what it was with
The blessings it had and those favors

17. Except the heart has no heart
And those with ideas are deaf and blind

18. If the veils were removed from their eyes
And worries receded from their hearts

19. They would see the ignorance surrounding them
And from it their ambitions mounted

20. Everything seemed vain to them
And they gave birth though they knew not

21. But suspicion had disappointed them
That none of them could mend the cracks

22. You see them think to themselves
That none of them could climb high

23. I gave you advice O people
According to my ability so the confused may understand

24. And I explained the religion clearly
With a tongue not inhibited by silence

25. And I deterred heedlessness among you towards deviance
So let the people of wisdom understand

26. May Allah benefit with what I clarified
And what the pen uncovered

27. And conclude the matter well for us
That we are servants of the religion

28. And virtuous to the people of earth and those
Who dignity is maintained through piety

29. And Allah's prayer is always upon me
With peace from Him that will not cease

30. Upon Allah's Prophet Taha Al-Mustafa
