1. I seek forgiveness from Allah for my secrets and for what is apparent
I seek forgiveness from Allah for my soul and for my body

2. I seek forgiveness from Allah for my spirit which He breathed
Against the command of its Creator into my weak body

3. I seek forgiveness from Allah for my intellect when it differed
Therein meanings and from my understanding and intuition

4. I seek forgiveness from Allah for my thoughts and whatever my
Imagination strayed therein of falsehood and concealment

5. I seek forgiveness from Allah for what I gained while awake
And what came upon me during sleep and drowsiness

6. I seek forgiveness from Allah for what my hands have committed
Of every ugly deed or good

7. I seek forgiveness from Allah for my feet and what they trod
In good and evil, drawing me close and taking me far

8. I seek forgiveness from Allah for what my sight has seen
Throughout my life and what my ears comprehended

9. I seek forgiveness from Allah for every word I have uttered
Of every noble utterance in creation and base

10. I seek forgiveness from Allah for my palms and what they placed
Upon them of softness in touch or coarseness

11. I seek forgiveness from Allah for what I smelled
Of fragrances in the greens and the dungs

12. I seek forgiveness from Allah for what I tasted with my mouth
Of what I see as disliked or what I see as pleasant

13. I seek forgiveness from Allah for my anger and wrath
And for my pleasure, compassion and cowardice

14. I seek forgiveness from Allah for my narrowness and breadth
And my emaciation, illness and plumpness

15. I seek forgiveness from Allah for my saying yes, no
And why, if only, is it true and who

16. I seek forgiveness from Allah for this because and with what
This was for a hidden matter, be veiled

17. I seek forgiveness from Allah for what I knew and what
I did not know of news among people that amazes me

18. I seek forgiveness from Allah for what I wasted
Of breaths in playfulness during my life and lowliness

19. I seek forgiveness from Allah for my patience and panic
And my passion, longing and sorrow

20. I seek forgiveness from Allah for the easy upon me and the
Difficult, the joy in me and the grief

21. I seek forgiveness from Allah for what I came with
Of obligatory acts for the sake of Allah and recommended

22. I seek forgiveness from Allah for performing purification in
Heart and body from disobedience and vileness

23. I seek forgiveness from Allah for acts of worship attributed
To my body which I struggled with and exhausted me

24. I seek forgiveness from Allah for leaving disobedience
And a tongue that speaks the truth composed

25. I seek forgiveness from Allah for what is in my belief
Of oneness of my Lord when I say it will benefit me

26. I seek forgiveness from Allah for my being in my
Opinion with Allah wherever existence is perishable in Him

27. I seek forgiveness from Allah for my family, children
And relatives, in-laws and sisters

28. I seek forgiveness from Allah for the house I resided in
And my bed, clothes and dwelling

29. I seek forgiveness from Allah for my books, pen
Inkpots, pens and ink and my craft

30. I seek forgiveness from Allah for poetry I composed and
Authored works, knowledge and poetry and prose

31. I seek forgiveness from Allah for lessons I taught
To a sincere student therein and tested

32. I seek forgiveness from Allah for my endowments and what my
Hand possessed and all my duties and provisions

33. I seek forgiveness from Allah for what I was granted and what
I bought and what I sold for a price

34. I seek forgiveness from Allah for all incidents upon
Me in my absence from my groups and homeland

35. I seek forgiveness from Allah for what I rode and what
I ride of horses and mules

36. I seek forgiveness from Allah for what I heard
For others of charity from me and favors

37. I seek forgiveness from Allah for doing good if
I did it with others, drawing me near and distancing me

38. I seek forgiveness from Allah for taking the unlawful and prohibiting
The permissible like black coffee and tobacco

39. I seek forgiveness from Allah for glad tidings over deceit
And truce such as they said about smoking

40. I seek forgiveness from Allah for a people I accompanied
With differing views on love and affection

41. I seek forgiveness from Allah for a matter I ordered so they
Understood evil and I did not intend it from me

42. I seek forgiveness from Allah for mentioning innocence to
Me in my absence with a tongue not composed

43. I seek forgiveness from Allah for what I do not know
Of evil assumptions that came to me from those of resentment

44. I seek forgiveness from Allah for what I was entrusted
With among people or not entrusted

45. I seek forgiveness from Allah for my injustice to others in
Truth and from anyone among people who does me injustice

46. I seek forgiveness from Allah for kindness to my mother
And father where I did not serve and help them

47. I seek forgiveness from Allah for neglecting their rights
For so long I was nourished by them with milk

48. I seek forgiveness from Allah for mentioning myself except with what
Is in it and what is not in it, imbalanced

49. I seek forgiveness from Allah for what I have no need
For and from every structure built like that

50. I seek forgiveness from Allah for land I resided in
And a gathering I frequented with people gathering me

51. I seek forgiveness from Allah for breaking covenants and
Neglecting limits and deviating from Sunnahs

52. I seek forgiveness from Allah for a nature I was characterized
With and a state I am in with narrowed breaths

53. I seek forgiveness from Allah alone where I was
And at my gathering time with esteemed and debased

54. I seek forgiveness from Allah for what I imagined
And what I suspected of a person from assumptions

55. I seek forgiveness from Allah for my weakness, illness
And changing states upon tribulations

56. I seek forgiveness from Allah for the time of conflict, death
Grave, washing and shroud

57. I seek forgiveness from Allah for the horror of questioning when
It comes to one buried in a grave

58. I seek forgiveness from Allah for the Day of Resurrection and the
Dead brought to life from the walls and bricks

59. I seek forgiveness from Allah for the time of Reckoning and
Erecting the Scales where injustice is not built

60. I seek forgiveness from Allah, Knower of the unseen so
Nothing to Him is hidden beneath the ground concealed

61. I seek forgiveness from Allah, Provider of creation
He did not forget a villager or urbanite

62. I seek forgiveness from Allah, Concealer of shortcomings so
Not every person is steeped in corruption and evil

63. I seek forgiveness from Allah, Helper of the needy by Him
In adversities, whoever hopes in Him is not humiliated

64. I seek forgiveness from Allah, Reserve of the askers
His grace which He bestows never diminished from Him

65. I seek forgiveness from Allah, Possessor of the Majestic Throne and the
Firm Corner, for the newly converted and relapsing

66. I seek forgiveness from Allah, Possessor of abundant grace, just rule
And beneficence and favors

67. I seek forgiveness from Allah, Light of the universe and the
One who brought us the Messenger, peace be upon him

68. I seek forgiveness from Allah, Glory to Allah, He has no
Limit, He says to a thing "Be" and it comes to be

69. I seek forgiveness from Allah, Might of Allah, the tyrants
Of Syria and Yemen submitted to His subjugation

70. I seek forgiveness from Allah, how many disheveled were guided
And how many handsome were not pleased with the years

71. I seek forgiveness from Allah, through Him many nations became
Mighty, so He was their supporter during tribulations

72. I seek forgiveness from Allah, how many arrogant fell prostate to His might
The obstinately disobedient with thick necks

73. I seek forgiveness from Allah, how many tyrants He destroyed and how
Many people He annihilated in chains and shackles

74. I seek forgiveness from Allah, how many like Antarah
In bygone times or Saif ibn Dhi Yazan fell powerless

75. I seek forgiveness from Allah, how many oppressors He destroyed
Who rebelled and transgressed relying on Him and obeying

76. I seek forgiveness from Allah, how many went astray and how many
Understood His awe in incapacity submitting

77. I seek forgiveness from Allah counting the sands and drops
Of existence and drops of downpour coming down

78. I seek forgiveness from Allah counting vegetation and
Treetops and flowers blooming in gardens

79. I seek forgiveness from Allah counting birds and
In land what is of pebbles and sea of ships

80. I seek forgiveness from Allah counting beliefs
Of true faith, false paganism and weakness

81. I seek forgiveness from Allah counting insects and
Counting beasts and what is led by the halter

82. I seek forgiveness from Allah counting the soil and what
Is on earth of mountain peaks and banners

83. I seek forgiveness from Allah counting letters that appeared
In writing and speech of pens and tongues

84. I seek forgiveness from Allah the sum of love
And what came of its essence pounded fine

85. I seek forgiveness from Allah the count of ants where they crept
Nested, and beasts of individuals and pairs

86. I seek forgiveness from Allah the count of all creation
From worshipers of their Lord or idol worshipers

87. I seek forgiveness from Allah the count of those devoted
In knowledge to our Creator from every concealed

88. Then prayers continued and peace
Upon the Prophet of guidance distinguished by tongues

89. Muhammad, best of Allah's creation, who sprouted
From good origin, for him the bud of the branch

90. And owner of the Basin from which his nation drinks
For the length between Oman to Yemen

91. And his household, the noble and righteous companions by
Whose merit the garden of perfection was not barren

92. And from Abu Bakr the Truthful with Umar
And after Uthman our master Abu al-Hasan

93. And the successors in goodness, our masters
The people of piety like Uways of his generation

94. I did not recite these verses before a gathering
Of prose by Nabulsi originally, Abd al-Ghani

95. And our Lord of truth did not pardon anyone
Who came to Him seeking forgiveness secretly and openly
