1. He is the seventy-first and the guide,
He is the seventy-first and the one to provide,

2. He is the blessed and the rain,
With truth and atheism in equal vein,

3. He is the counted and prepared,
And He who counts and keeps affairs paired,

4. He is the spirits and apparitions,
Of various corporeal conditions,

5. He is the orbits and planets in pairs and alone,
He is this world and all it has shown,

6. He is the next and what it will store,
Of worshippers and ascetics galore,

7. He is the garden and its plants verdant,
And the perfidious hunter and pheasant,

8. He is the flowers and fruit ever-plentiful,
And the floods and valleys joyful,

9. He is the bird whose song rose atop the perch,
He is the perch and composition and to each verse,

10. He is the known and the obscure and the far,
He is the sun when it shone a first star,

11. He is the misleading and the rightly-guided,
He is the ancestor and forefather decided,

12. He is called by lineages and kin of name,
Uncles and fathers and sons who came,

13. Garments of opposites He wears,
Signs from Him come as gifts unawares,

14. By supposition and conception one tries,
To see creation before their eyes,

15. By examples repeated in songs,
Is He of Whom none other compares,

16. And of Himself made clear and eminent,
Without any equals evident,

17. Beautiful names guide to His way,
The reverent in worship every day,

18. An absolute existence beyond all,
Individual forms from Him fall,

19. Those properties number a total of nine,
Mentioned often in writings divine,

20. Called how, what, where by the critics inclined,
When, position, ownership, relations defined,

21. Action, passion, information verified,
Our Lord revealed in forms magnified,

22. So realize the Revealed, prayers right,
While others are blind to His light,

23. Deprived of bliss lasting, divine.
