1. My existence has appeared from me,
While it was in the ancient unseen.

2. And it was manifested in my witnessing,
So I am the Knowing, the All-Knowing.

3. He is my Lord and He suffices me,
Filling my heart and actualizing, O friend!

4. He rose up swaggering with his stance,
Like a straight, slender reed.

5. His face's veil loosely hanging,
If I could attain safety from Him!

6. O my companion, my path is narrowed,
And my burning in love of the beautiful face.

7. He went away, glorying in his tresses,
While he is far above that.

8. A gazelle, sweet of traits,
In whom my heart becomes purified.

9. A radiant, bright face,
I become forgetful before that despicable villain.

10. Glorify the name of Allah, O you who
Has seen the beauty of the Lovely One.

11. And the one who believes in Allah,
Loves the youthful face.

12. Do not resist the Maker’s artistry,
The decree that flows straight.

13. Send your prayers and peace,
Upon Taha, the Messenger,

14. Who is a teacher of good,
And the key to arrival.

15. He is the eternal wine-bearer
In whom I find healing, a sick destitute.
