1. The solitude of the grave is the noblest solitude
With the meeting of the Beloved in the high places

2. The solitude of the grave is to be stripped of what
Distracts the soul from perfecting its attributes

3. The solitude of the grave is bliss and delight
For one fortunate who has tasted the secret of death

4. The solitude of the grave is tranquility and joy
And entry into the noblest of Gardens

5. A presence that brings together the enamored one
What gathering in the most perfect of states!

6. Were it not for the prohibition that came to us
I would have wished for it as my salvation

7. It is joy for every fortunate servant
Who ascends by it to the highest ranks

8. And it is a prison for every wretched servant
Who descends by it to the deepest pits

9. By God, one who dies is not dead
Rather, death is the death of this life

10. All who rose in life with their ego
Rose in illusion, sorrow and dispersion

11. But one who rose with God is alive
With the life of God at all times

12. Leaving behind the body and densities
Pure from the impurities of tools

13. Taking off what dispositions clothed it in
Wearing the purest of garments
