1. God has made it a protected fortress,
It is the glorious Quran.

Through it everything is evident and honored.

3. The people have renounced their passions for it,
And turned to that which lies beyond it.

4. Their longing for it has increased,
Through it every longing one succeeds.

5. They have admonished Jesus' people towards it,
Yet some have forgotten God, lacking discernment.

6. The flower of the fleeting world has seduced them,
Their love for it settled in their souls.

7. The one I love has visited me in the dark of night,
Clarifying the hazy and unlocking symbols.

8. Zainab's essence has made my annihilation endure,
All treasures for me lie in her.

9. I have cast my bucket into the well of intimacy,
Filling both cups and pitcher.

10. Sigh after sigh escapes my heart,
My patience ever defiant.
