In spirit, the spirit of the matter shone in me

2. And the spirit is one spirit, we are all
Our spirits from it to us outpace

3. Its tongue is the mind, when it wants to
Speak in me, it speaks in itself

4. Our speech, we and all creation
In itself my Lord for it creates

5. Nature appears through spirit as
It hides, so no west and no east

6. It is the spirit sea, and its waves
All that resides or flutters

7. Like your meanings which you
In yourself mean when you stare

8. And all is God's creation, there appeared to them
In everything a sign that flashes

9. O you who own my spirit, my spirit as
You said, when you breathed spirit and they realized

10. Between me and you this, so if
You hid in it, then I outpace

11. And the unseen is you, the unseen true, and we
Cannot approach or catch up

12. But you know it through what
The free spirit depicted for us

13. A knowledge from our spirit like us
Created, less than He who creates

14. And this spirit is one angel
With the fullness of God's kingdom entrusted

15. Loves his Master, and cannot
Comprehend Him, yet for Him yearns

16. Perplexed in Him, so you see it
Depicted to us, by us glanced

17. This is a vast path, and the right
Path is that crooked, narrow one
