1. The mystery of existence appeared with what was missing
So it seemed to the eye as existing

2. Leave the talk of occurrence and remember the Eternal
Whose remembrance is not with me and has weakened me with witnessing

3. Exalted ranks, it is my exaltation
And my decline from His intended will

4. Bleed with love, my brother, and hold fast
To meet Him in His outstretched shadow

5. The monastery of my upbringing where I grew
Seeking the cup of clustered wine

6. I have always been close to the companion of the face
Utterly beautiful, free of all constraints

7. He illumined my Mount with His manifest light
So I transcended limits in my love

8. My being's illness cannot be cured
And the cure, the cure is His overflowing grace

9. A call from Him revealed everything
So it opened the door that was closed

10. The kingdom of glory is for the one who perishes in Him
Then remains through Him to keep the covenants
