1. Despite the spite of enviers, my status is sublime
And all are but my servants and pages in time

2. I am the light that grows brighter whenever
Foes confront me with their darkness and crime

3. I've become a towering mountain in the wilds
And turned into a boundless sea at its prime

4. I have sciences - if receptacles existed
I'd infuse them with eloquence fine

5. But the hearts of the world were too narrow
To stomach my words, so they turned to blame

6. The individual insisted I match his knowledge
I am the unique, the elite are the common and tame

7. I remain awake to a secret I understood
While people of my time sleep in dreams so lame

8. I ate the fruits of guidance and left them
With the peels, bellies full yet spirits the same
