1. Fly away, O bird, to your Lord
Away from all others out of your love for Him

2. And hold fast to Him with trust
In His unseen realm and incline to your nearness to Him

3. For He is your Master, pleased with you as
His servant if you repent of your sin

4. And through Him, not you, snatch a
Glimpse of Him, for He is your path

5. And when you snatch Him, the snatching is on
Yourself, not your Lord

6. He is closer to you than you are to Him
Every soul, so the soul veils you from Him

7. You veiled yourself from Him through you, yet
He did not veil Himself from you in your clear drink

8. Only your garment obscured Him from you
In the water's garb on you along with your dust

9. So strip yourself of existence through Him
And realize Him and vanish from your flock

10. And from all, and remain through Him in Him
In the presence of Al-Mustafa, who is with you
