1. Her image, if I gaze on it, burdens me,
Yet if I do not look on it, it honours me;

2. It honours me in every command and prohibition.
She commands me with it and prohibits me from that which she has prohibited me.

3. So I am obedient and not disobedient,
Always like this, as she created me.

4. It is pure favour from her upon me and protection
For me without any burden on her image of me.

5. And my returning to my image in my witnessing
Has made her detest me for my pretentiousness and impertinence.

6. I cannot do anything, but
By my pretensions to my image I am damned.

7. Be without self if you want comfort
And acceptance from her to attain your wishes.

8. And stop and do not stop at anything
And contemplate and turn your speech away from me.

9. O my existence and existence of the wilderness,
All of them, I do not say that you are I.

10. You are the single, realized one, nothing is hidden,
While I am the illusion, manifest in duality.

11. So pardon me for what I have reaped in ignorance
Before I perceive the loss, so pardon me.
