1. My inner sun, she belongs to none but me,
Her dawn arises solely for my eyes to see,

2. God granted me this gift amongst humanity,
A divine inspiration breathed into me.

3. Behind my veil she appeared suddenly,
A beauty whose splendor was bright to behold,

4. And this poor lover now owns all her gold,
Strolling with her through meadows green and free.

5. Come let us drink from cups of union sweet,
Amidst such beauty and majestic treat,

6. Many dreams that beneath imagination's sheet,
The sun now shines, the lamps no more we need.

7. I beg you by God, leave this ambiguity,
Cast off the cosmos and its false tracery,

8. Take from your beloved's hand the cup, drink of me,
The wine of spirits, nay divine ecstasy.

9. Her reign prevails in every living thing,
In the barrens and forests her rule as king,

10. Those of pure hearts her presence visiting,
No turning back, for them no wavering.

11. Send blessings, O Lord on Taha your messenger,
Ahmad the chosen, Mahmoud who all roots anchor,

12. No servant ever sipped the wine or came closer,
To the Generous' gift which He does not confer.
