1. The Book speaks truth to those who hold fast to it
While some associate others with it and become polytheists

2. It is clear to those who fully understand it
And not cling to only parts of it

3. It descended from the Presence of the One
So verify it and do not doubt

4. Its chapters and verses appeared and were composed
Of letters that supremely profess Divine Oneness

5. Derived from chapters for every city
To encompass with what unravels

6. And its images appeared glorious
With its second descent to those who tread the path

7. We sent it down in truth, that being the first
All who believed in it were blessed

8. And with it He revealed what transgressed, as the second
So they differed over it and from it turned away

9. And substituted its images, taking some
And leaving some, not rejecting all

10. And over them remained the rule of their abode with what
Befitted them in ignorance they ruled

11. Thus the world became accursed
Except those exempted who plunged into battle

12. And signs came to you in your colors
And the tongues that came to speak

13. All are images and many they are
With differences beyond comprehension

14. And God is our Guardian, He came
Behind everything with a face that rends

15. But this is a glorious Quran sent
On a Preserved Tablet from those who associate others with Him
