1. This first sleep of yours
You are not you, nor that one

2. Rather, all is truth
In a form that contends

3. And those are the acts of my Lord
That come and go swiftly

4. And people said, sleep
Our Prophet the mentor

5. So take what he said and judge wisely
For you will not find escape

6. And everything you see
Seek its deliverance

7. From its disguise, be it truth
Pleasing you or harming you

8. If you taste something painful
Or if you taste in it pleasure

9. All is ephemeral, except
God, He is eternal

10. And naught besides is aught
But playthings misleading you
