1. If those who seek their Master
Were like those who seek worldly gain
2. They would undoubtedly find Him
In everything they seek Him
3. Those whose hearts are immersed
In the world and its trappings
4. Whose minds are enslaved by
Thoughts of it, till it occupies their mouths
5. Love those who make them think
It can be theirs, even if enemies
6. And brave awful dangers to obtain it
Ignoring religion and consequences
7. Their hearts sincerely love it
Seeking what they desire from it
8. If only for their Lord they felt this way
While people are mere forms and images
9. Had they been as sincere to God
As they are to others, God would have saved them
10. And granted them what He granted them
And exalted them through remembrance
11. But predestination prevented them
From Him, and so they missed the only winner,
12. He who judges them according to their nature
For God’s knowledge is the origin.
13. And knowledge of them reveals their essence
As nothingness, empty of meaning
14. However they are created
By the grace of the Master, and His endowment.
