1. I remain alone in the campsites after them
Perplexed between covenants never kept
١. فَبَقيتُ في العرصاتِ وَحدي بعدهم
حيران بَينَ معاهدٍ ما تُعهَدُ
2. As if they were the abodes of Mayya when deserted
And as if I were a love-smitten singer within
٢. فَكأَنَهُنَّ ديارُ ميٍّ إِذ خلت
وَكأَنَّني غَيلان فيها يُنشِدُ
