1. You grew and your eyelids did not dry up
So blame me, reproach is something trivial

2. You wanted my heart to be consoled from passion
It yielded, so wait, do not hasten what cannot be

3. Oh intimate of grief, now you have betrayed me
Do lovers fear grief?

4. I'm not stingy with my soul nor
Of those who if afraid, suspect suspicions

5. So rest, do not insist on one whose passion
Has no tranquility in loving the inhabitants of yearning

6. If your eyes saw the lightning of passion
Flashing like the blade polished by the whetstones

7. When the embers of love are lit
And the dawn of watering grief appears

8. It shone in a dress of lights
And this preserved side shone

9. And the light of the elevated passions appeared
Like the light that appears at the top of the branches

10. And the clothes of darkness went away from it
So its banners shone while still soft

11. And the caravan saw tents that
Came to the shade in which they settled

12. And I noticed them in the passion of Hamzah
With eyes looking upon that eye's light

13. And they were welcomed by the guarantor of favor
Who had no debts in his liability

14. And a breeze blew from that passion
That stirred their resolve and aroused sorrows

15. I was determined, bored, and met them
Concurring in all they called for

16. Wherever you see the tears pouring down
Upon the cheeks like pouring clouds

17. And the light from the chamber of the best of creation
If not for the radiance of mercy, would have blinded the eyes

18. And the people in awe of that passion
Their gazes bowed down, humble

19. The dwelling of the one whose Lord took him
On the night journey to Him, and the messengers trusted in him

20. Muhammad, the noblest of those created
Who walked between Safa and Marwah

21. The last of all flee to him, and the first
Hope for him on the Day of Resurrection and formerly

22. For him are the flag and the basin when they are resurrected
In their shade and from it they water

23. The intercessor of all when they come
To God, seeking his intercession

24. Their rescuer from their adversity on a day
When their wealth and children will not avail them

25. If not for him, none would have known circumambulation
Nor those proclaiming the call to pilgrimage

26. Nor would the companions at their side
Have been called, nor those ascending above the hill

27. And the pilgrims would not have known what
They do, arriving in pilgrim garb or completing

28. Nor would they have come from every pass to
That passion, to take rest at Arafat

29. Nor for the victory of Islam would a war
Have been waged against the enemies

30. What can people say in describing the one
For whom Allah revealed Ta Ha and Noon

31. The matter is beyond praise, however
He is praised so that the praisers may rise

32. And what might the composer elucidate
Of the glories of brilliant praise and support?

33. What are poems to his due?
The pearl cannot match his brilliance

34. My longing for a life that persisted
Upon the plains, away from its passions

35. A man succeeded whom cares did not preoccupy
From reaching the land we love and the meadows of calm

36. While his mother followed him,
Whether on foot or riding a camel

37. May Allah bless him as long as
Leaves rustle in leaves with pliant arts

38. And the east wind blows, and the sea
Swells and surges with fish
