1. My beloved reproached me in love's name,
"You were patient when they turned away and abandoned."
١. قالَ الحَبيبُ مُعاتِباً لِي في الهَوَى
صَبّرت قَلْبَكَ إِذْ صَدُّوا وإِذْ هَجَرُوا
2. I answered, "My heart is dead in your love,
And that is why some of the dead are buried."
٢. فأَجَبْتُهُ قَلْبِي بِحُبِّكَ مَيِّتٌ
وَلِذاكَ بَعْضُ المَيِّتينَ يُصَبَّرُ
