فيا قاضي القضاة متى يوفي

1. O Judge of judges, when will tongues, however eloquent,
Do justice to Thy attributes sublime?

١. فَيَا قَاضِي القُضَاةِ مَتَى يُوَفِّي
حُقُوقَ صِفَاتِكَ اللَّسِنُ الأَرِيبُ

2. A youth whose nature is as gentle as my hair,
Each of whose traits, however viewed, seems strange.

٢. فَتىً رَقَّتْ خَلائِقُه كَشِعْرِي
حَوَى وَصْفَيْنِ كُلُّهُما عَجيبُ

3. His generous acts invite my praise of him,
His beauty, my comparisons, however faint.

٣. فَفِي كَرمٍ لِأَشْرَفِهِ مَديحٌ
وفي حُسْنٍ لِأَلْطَفِهِ نَسِيبُ
