1. Your union fulfilled my wish and desire
And your beauty outshone my paradise and provision

2. Without you, even if I visited your abode as a pilgrim
It would be futile debate, wooing an executioner

3. My love, you have satiated my eyes with their tears
And left my heart to patience, my companion

4. You diminished my fortune as you increased my passion
My adversary, O epitome of all I wish and distance from me

5. By Allah, I unleashed my love for none but you
And granted my affection to none but you

6. By your life, awaken your sleepy eyes, perhaps
They will return to me the sweetness of their slumber

7. To Allah I complain secretly of passion
With my heart, so my eyes reveal it not

8. I fear the long tresses of his hair
For they have reached from his nape to my heart
